Sharing today's 'random' ...
'random' is in quotes because nothing is random. Confer Proverbs 16:33. Links in excerpts will generally lead to the underlying chapter of the day. Titles are random or inspired by readings when no links are given.

Little differences
Today's 'random' was
Psalm 61
and
1 Corinthians 1
I love to listen to Max McLean read the chapter, a feature on Bible Gateway's ESV version. I read along as he reads.
Once in a while there are little differences.
At the end of 1 Corinthians 1, the written version is
but Max says
Sometimes the differences relate to a revision of the ESV. In this case, I think Max has his own favorite version. Do you have a version that matches Max's ?

The Kingdom and The Authority
In Numbers 25 a plague is stopped by a move of the Spirit. In Mark 2, Jesus reveals His Authority as the dealers of religion come at him from four directions.
Lord, yours is The Kingdom, ant The Power, and The Authority - Amen!

God is not mocked
Yesterday's random gave words to that effect from Revelation 20.
- 4 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.6 Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.
Today's random tells us that today's events are not a surprise to God.

Am I wrong, or does this apply today?
Wow,this seems so applicable today ...

Voting is today. Hopefully we will heed both of the above.
Nehemiah 5 and Romans 4 seem new and fresh, some scales must be falling.
Voting is today. Hopefully we will heed both of the above.
